The assault caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
